Black and White Buffalo Check Takes on a Holiday Twist

Black and White Check continues to be all the rage this season and we can see why: without being too over the top, it brings a cozy twist on a traditional modern farmhouse look. The VANS classic checkerboard shoe pattern has been around forever but with more and more kids jumping on this design bandwagon, we think the Buffalo Check look is here to stay!

For this curation, we wanted to do a Christmas inspired Buffalo Check dining and living room combination with a pop of red and we think it turned out fabulous! This room was fairly simple since it already had a farmhouse table and bench and some other minimalistic decor.

The farmhouse table bench cushion was custom made by our sister company, Patio Lane. We chose a plaid Sunbrella fabric from the Silver State collection called Cambridge Granite. The bench cushion is three inches thick and super soft, as it is wrapped with Dacron. It’s secured by Velcro straps and the cover is removable so if those holiday spills happen, you can easily take off the cover and wash it.

The Sunbrella table runner, also using Cambridge Granite, can be found here on Haven and Harmony.

For the Sunbrella throw pillows, we chose Spectrum Cherry (pattern number 48096-0000). The embroidered “Believe” pillow is a classic white pillow, embroidered with black thread.

The Merry Christmas sign was sourced from Smallwoods, and lends even more of that farmhouse vibe.

We think this look is so classy and just because we used it for Christmas, doesn’t mean it can’t be used year round. It’s easy to see why the Buffalo Check black and white pattern continues to be trendy.
